Out of a tragic event a much needed organization is born. Thank you for you efforts in improving safety for all skiers and snowboarders.

I have been a season pass holder at Dodge Ridge for 10 years, usually averaging 30 to 60 visits per year depending on snow conditions. My safety concerns focus on the following:
- Obstacles and dangerous areas lack signage
- Ski patrol often remains invisible
- No visible effort to control speeding and dangerous maneuvers
Myself and others have brought this to the attention of ski resorts’ top management in past years, but we have seen little improvement. Personally, I only ski on weekdays when the slopes are far less crowded and dangerous and I’ve learned to ski very defensively. I know my views are shared by many season ticket holders in the 40-plus age group.

I was so interested and pleased to read the other day about the formation of CSSSO. Jessie was a close friend of mine and I think of her often. Someone who was such a special person in your life never disappears. Of course she loved the outdoors and snow sports and this is such a meaningful way to honor her. I know that through your work you'll be going far to make policy makers and the public more aware of these important safety and risk issues. I wish you all the best.
Peace,
Anna Gilbert
